Keep in mind that these were virtually hand built cars. In theory, they should interchange, but you might have to do some adjusting to make it fit....

Not 100% sure on a 62, but on my 64, it's located between the fuse box and the steering wheel, on the lip at the bottom of the dash. It's a rocker...
