First I think this website is terrific. I am considering purchasing a 65 type 34. The car is very solid but not everything is original. The engine is a 1600 not a 1500. The front seats are out of a non VW car and it has 4 wheel disc brakes with aftermarket wheels. The car is beautiful but at $10500 I would like some feed back from people that have more experience with these cars than I do. Any info would be appreciated.

thanks
Rick

The best way to give a proper evaluation on any T34 is to provide us with detailed photos & info on the T34 in question. Engine size is not an issue. "Seats from a non-VW car" sounds like a bad modification that waves a red-flag in most owners eyes. It all depends on what kind of T34 you're searching for, whether you want a customized racer or a stock/original driver. Where is the T34 located? Is there an ad for it you can share?

The car has pictures on this website. It was owned by Mr Dwight Brown. The interior has been completed. Dwight has been very kind and has given me a lot of info on the car.

Lee I didn't mean to seem short with my last message. I tried to post a pic of the car but had no luck. I did purchase the car and really like it. I do want to change somethings back to stock and am looking for mostly interior parts. It is in storage right now and can not wait for spring. I hope you have a Happy New Years!!!

Hi Rick, congratulations on the new car (and welcome to the Registry).

There is a gallery automatically created for you - to add photos simply select 'Add Media' from the drop down list and then click the 'Go' button - It should hopefully be pretty straight forward.

The link to your galery is - http://www.type34.com/mediagallery/album.php?aid=401&page=1

You can also get there by browsing to your name in the media galleries (Community > Media Gallery).

If you get stuck, give me a holler.

Mick.
